CAS 111 - Information Literacy (3)

This course covers a variety of introductory computing knowledge including how personal computers work, software essentials, hardware components, operating systems and the most popular productivity applications including word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software. Students will also be introduced to the Internet and e-mail essentials, file management, digital electronics and digital communication, networking and computer security fundamentals. This course aligns with the Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3), which demonstrates that a student has a clear understanding of the knowledge and application of computers and technology in the modern world.
