MDIA 111 - Understanding Social Media (3)

This course examines the relationship between society and social media from broader social, political, historical, and industrial contexts. The course examines social theories, emerging social media technologies and how these technologies impact our lives including our social relationships, community, affiliation, identity, privacy, data and ethics.
