MECH 106L - Electricity & Electronics Lab (2) Electricity & Electronics is an introduction to AC electrical applications and commercial wiring practices. This course is paired with MECH 105 - Electricity & Commercial Wiring (1) to form a complete electricity/electronic experience for the mechatronics technician. This course introduces the fundamental concepts of and computations related to AC electricity. Emphasis is placed on AC circuits, components, operation of test equipment; and other related topics. Devices such as transformers, AC motors, and solenoids are covered. Commercial wiring tools and practices are introduced to prepare the student for the NEC exam. This laboratory component provides hands-on experiences necessary for complete concept attainment.
