The Database Management Program provides the successful graduate with the courseware to acquire a blend of the core competencies of a database professional. Students will learn database management by establishing database environments and designing databases using structured and unstructured data schemes. Students will utilize Data Definition Language and Data Manipulation Language to define, retrieve, and manipulate data. Participants will study scripting and programming of data structures, algorithms, and best practices in secure coding. Students will learn data analytics by examining the data visualization and analysis process and common statistical techniques for analysis of data. Students will practice summarizing and visualizing characteristics of data sets.
Key subjects will include IT fundamentals, network and security concepts, scripting and programming, data management, spreadsheets, data analytics, statistics, and technical writing.
