CYBR 283 - Computer Forensics (3) This course provides students and professionals with a solid foundation in computer forensics. The course is a guide toward becoming a skilled computer forensics investigator. Course content includes computer forensics and investigations as a profession, understanding computer investigations, an investigator’s office and laboratory, data acquisition, processing crime and incident scenes, working with different operating systems, current computer forensics analysis tools, boot processes and file systems, file recovery, network forensics, e-mail investigations, mobile device forensics, report writing, chain of custody, and expert testimony for high-tech investigations, and ethics for expert witnesses.
Prerequisite(s): CNET 121 - Network+ (3) and CYBR 192 - Practicum (1)
