CNET 131 - Introduction to Networks (4)


This is the first course in a sequence of courses that prepare students to take the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification exam.  The course covers network design based on the OSI Model, IP network addressing, cable management, the functionality of networks, and the standards of network architecture.  Students will engage in rigorous lab activities that introduce working on the Cisco command line, emphasize the use of network tool and provide experience with various network applications.  Course sequence mapped to CCNA certification CNET 131, CNET 141 - Route & Switch Essentials (4) , CNET 231 - Scaling Networks (4) , CNET 241 - Connecting Networks (4) .
