ART 205 - Creativity, Color, & Design II (3) This course continues to provide foundations and explore personal creativity, the creative process, color theory and psychology, color formulation, design, and the roles of creativity, including therapeutic, in personal life, society, and industry. There is an emphasis on self-discovery and personal creative expression. Classroom and home studio exercises enable students to explore materials, ways of making, principles of color, composition, design, execution, and presentation. Individuals gain self-identity, personal freedom, and a working understanding of art media, personal aesthetics, and presentation. Works from this class are exhibited at Blue Ridge CTC and at the Berkeley Art Works in Martinsburg, giving “hands-on” exhibit and portfolio-building experience. Note: Neither ART 105 nor prior art training are prerequisites ART 205.
